She is the Principal Oboist of the Atlanta Opera, where her performance in Richard Strauss’ Salome earned praise as “bewitching” in Arts Atlanta in 2020. She also plays with the Atlanta Ballet Orchestra, Huntsville Symphony Orchestras, and various ensembles throughout the Southeast. At home in Nashville, Diana teaches private oboe lessons to kids and adults of all ages. She also records out of her home recording studio. Diana received a bachelor’s degree in oboe performance from the Eastman School of Music and a master’s degree from Rice University’s Shepherd School of Music, where she studied with Richard Killmer and Robert Atherholt, respectively. Her oboe career has taken her around the region and world, including performances in Russia, Japan, and China. She has played with the Atlanta Opera and Ballet Orchestras since 2009, and has also been a member of the Huntsville Symphony Orchestra since 2015. She has performed throughout the Southeast and around the world, including concerts in Shanghai, Sapporo, Tokyo, Helsinki, and St. Petersburg. Diana has taught private oboe lessons since 2005. Her students regularly rank high in All-State competitions, and several have gone on to pursue music careers of their own.
